Are You A Procrastinator?

Are You A Procrastinator? If you’re a procrastinator, chances are you are not doing the action that I will be sharing in this article. You can have the best plans, the best vision, but if you don’t do this, none of that matters!

What is a Procrastinator?

So are you a procrastinator? For those of you who might be in denial.

Let’s talk first about what is a procrastinator.

According to the Oxford Dictionary, to procrastinate is to “delay doing something that you should do, usually because you do not want to do it.” So this means that a procrastinator is someone who is delaying doing something that they should be doing, because they don’t want to do it.

Come on. Truth time. So, ARE you a procrastinator?

Own up if you are. No one is judging you.

For those of you who might be thinking that you’re not. That’s awesome!

You’re probably saying that you’re not one because you KNOW that you’re doing so much for your business and that you’re seeing those results that you wanted.

Again, That’s awesome!

But posting once a week on social media, might not be doing the trick for you and you might be feeling like you won’t reach your goal of getting more sales. And I get it. You sat to work on your Ad for Facebook or LinkedIn and then you heard a notification on your phone.

Of course, you check it because it could be something important, right?

Then before you know it, you’ve been on your phone for an hour scrolling through Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, back to Facebook, and that recipe a friend told you to check out on Pinterest.

Instead of going back to work on your Ad, you remembered the game that you were playing with friends on Facebook and got back on to that. Then the end of the day comes and you got no Ad.

By the way, did you ever start working on that service that you wanted to add to your business? Or did you catch a few episodes of your new favorite show on Netflix. Let’s be honest, a couple turned into you watching several seasons!

But remember the AD that you were working on. The new service that you wanted to start in your business. And you did say that you wanted to start posting at least 3 times each day on Facebook.

Yet, you still haven’t done those things!

Instead, you decided to put them off and do all those other things that you wanted to do. All those other things that get you nowhere in your business. So are you ready to find out the strategy that I said I was going to share with you so that you can stop procrastinating?

Be Consistent

The strategy that I wanted to share is…being consistent.

Being consistent is one of the ways that you can squash your procrastination. And by the way, lack of consistency is one of the reasons that businesses fail. When you take consistent actions in your business, you begin to develop habits that will benefit your business.

Those consistent actions will help you on your long haul towards that goal that you want to achieve. If you’re not sure how to be consistent, think about your goal that you want to accomplish this month or in the next 4 weeks.

Then each day, take at least one action that will move you towards that goal.

Only you can be responsible for you taking action.

If that’s not enough to get you going, think of some reward that you can give yourself after you finish your one task for the day. Then keep doing that each day.

Yes, starting, having, and growing your own business is TOUGH. I get it. I live it every day. So that’s where being consistent can helps me and can help you. Yes, there are going to be things that are difficult for us to do or tasks that we would rather not complete, but that doesn’t mean we have to procrastinate.

'Coz procrastination won’t get the task done.

By the way, for those tasks that you would rather not do or that you find not interesting, a SWOT analysis or strengths assessment can help you to figure out how to approach those tasks. A coach can help you to make sense of the results so you can connect them to your business growth plan.

So stop procrastinating and take actions. AND be consistent in your actions.

This same time next week, you will be amazed by the changes in your business after you take action daily!

But if you’re not, then you might not be taking the right actions and should probably work with a coach because we want you to stay motivated about your business.

If you are ready to stop procrastinating, submit your coaching application and see if you qualify for a customized coaching program to meet your specific needs.
